SOAK is a contemporary fashion brand founded in Quito, Ecuador, in 2020. Our mission is to create environmentally conscious designs and production practices that deliver functionality, comfort, and distinctive character. We believe that choosing quality over quantity is essential to building a more responsible and enduring fashion industry.
The brand originated from the desire to elevate Ecuadorian and broader Latin American artisanal craftsmanship, highlighting the value of handmade products and the creative processes behind them. SOAK embraces body and gender diversity, integrating inclusive values into every stage of design.
Our approach centers on up-cycling and responsible production. We incorporate textiles made from waste materials and repurpose second-hand garments as raw material for new creations. Through these practices, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally respectful fashion ecosystem.
SOAK positions itself as a brand of change—one that champions fair production chains, celebrates the expertise of Ecuadorian artisans, and elevates the cultural significance of their work. Our vision includes reaching diverse international audiences while honoring Ecuador’s rich textile heritage through thoughtful design. We aspire to become a positive influence for Ecuadorian designers and artisans by promoting creativity and innovative up-cycling methodologies, as well as fostering trade connections between Ecuador and global markets.

Through the development of a dedicated foundation, we aim to support education and provide high-quality garments to people across different social classes—not only the elite. Our holistic model will work to make up-cycled production more accessible without compromising creativity, while offering durable essentials made from natural fibers that reinforce our commitment to quality over quantity.
Thinking more conceptually, SOAK explores a line of oversized basics infused with an aesthetic inspired by Andean silhouettes, encouraging self-expression and honoring cultural heritage. Our goal is to help you feel free, confident, and unique through the use of unconventional textiles and captivating patterns—creating a space where customers feel not only comfortable, but truly special.
